Thanksgiving, NaNoWriMo, and Relaxing

The Day After Thanksgiving I’m taking the day off; no cleaning, no cooking, no waiting on others and no-over-full belly. I’m enjoying a clean house; the one me, the husband and kids frantically did our best to make our home presentable for guests. I’m not planning on joining the crowds at any store. I’ve done my fair share of black Friday shopping and had great fun, but not today. Today my fun is to enjoy my home and leftovers by lounging in my warm pajamas and selecting videos from my movie library. I have sadly given up on my NaNoWriMo, too many distractions to stay on track. You may ask what it is I’m speak about… National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30. I completed about 11,000 words. I have a story waiting to be written.
